The first frost of the season.

I anticipate it every year. Rushing out to the gardens as the sun begins to peak over the hill. Each petal is delicately dressed in glittering, iridescent crystals of ice. For these very brief moments, a new and different form of beauty is born but quickly ushers in the end of another glorious growing season.

The first frost brings a moment to pause, and reflect on what a special season we have had. It doesn’t end here, simply changes and we are so grateful for it. ❤️

The blooms bow low in silver sleep,
Their colors hushed, their secrets keep.
The frost has kissed each tender face,
And wrapped the garden in soft grace.
Though petals fade, they do not mourn—
In quiet rest, new dreams are born.
